Student view - Desktop & Mobile/Tablet

Students can use a desktop, mobile phone, or tablet to join the class

From both the desktop and mobile versions, your students need to:

• Accept essential cookies.

• Give permission for camera and microphone access.

• Enter their name.

• Press the Join button.

Desktop version

After entering the classroom, your students will be able to:

• See the board or the slides with materials.

• See your video.

• Open or close their video.

• Draw and type on the board (if you have opened it for editing).

• Raise their hand.

• Leave messages in the chat.

• See the notes.

By default, students are muted when they join the lesson; initially, you won't hear them

An audible notification will indicate:

• When someone has connected to your class.

• If a student raises their hand.

To unmute a student, click on the raised hand or muted icon on their webcam window.

While students can hear each other, they can't see each other. Meanwhile, you will be able to see all participants, and they will be able to see you.

Mobile/Tablet version

When accessing the classroom from their phones, students are prompted to rotate their device to landscape mode for a better experience.

Nevertheless, be aware that the size of the screen depends on the model of the mobile phone or tablet and may not be sufficient.
